The Curse of Smitt Manor (2015)
Created in 2015 for an LSU Haunted House Medication Drive, an annual a fundraiser that works to provide free medication for communities in need, this video served as the basis for a stunning holographic ghost effect. By filming actors in front of a green screen, layering them together in Final Cut Pro X with a transparent background, and then projecting them onto a massive scrim made of semi-translucent material, we were able to tell the haunted history of the manor in a highly innovative fashion.
Created for the 48 Hour Film Project 2017, a worldwide film competition where you are tasked to write, produce, and edit and score a short film in just 48 hours, this dystopian thriller follows a rebellious girl that attempts to discover the truth behind a controversial population reduction system, where everyone is assigned a date of death at birth. Winner of Best Graphics, Best Directing, and Best Actor and Runner-Up for Audience Award. Nominated for Best Use of Required Prop, Best Cinematography, Best Graphics, Best Supporting Actor, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Writing, and Best Editing.
